Real Estate Center has good news about employment growht for Dallas area which is going to be a positive impact to Dallas Real Estate Market.

COLLEGE STATION (Real Estate Center) – Texas’ economic recovery is strengthening, according to the latest monthly economic review from the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.

After 16 months of job losses, the state had its third month of positive annual employment growth. Texas’ employment growth rate from July 2009 to July 2010 was 1.3 percent compared with a rate close to zero percent for the nation. Read the rest of this entry »

The Growing city Dallas-Fort Worth area added more residents than any other city in the United States. According to the latest Census Bureau data released on Tuesday, the population of the extending Texas metro area grew by about 1.3 million people, or 25%, between April 1, 2000, and July 1, 2009.

DALLAS (Hammond Jones Development) – Two North Texas universities will receive new student housing by fall 2011, courtesy of Hammond Jones Development LLC.

The first project will serve students attending the University of North Texas in Denton and will consist of 76 units and 272 beds.

The second development will serve students of the University of Texas at Arlington and consists of 72 units and 232 beds with additional mixed-use retail areas.

According to Texas Real Estate Center Just over 21,717 existing single-family homes were sold in Texas last month, roughly the same as a year ago, according to MLS data compiled by the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.

The median price was down 1 percent to $153,300 during the same period, and the state finished the month with a 7.8-month inventory of existing homes.

Seems like existing Home Sales Unchanged in Texas Areas from last year however Dallas, Fort Worth and Collin County had very little changes.
