This weekend is FUN FUN FUN again in Dallas area, We have Chocolate Tasting Tour, The Ultimate Summer Boat & Outdoors Show and Dallas CityScape….So many fun things to do in Dallas this weekend.
** Who loves CHOCOLATE? Yes, it is chocolate time…
Everybody knows that Chocolate is my favorite!!!! I love it and I eat a lot of it….
Are you curious how they make chocolate and other sweet goodies? Join food tours of Dallas premier specialty chocolate-related establishments. You can learn how they make chocolate and other sweet goodies from chocolatiers, bakers and others. You can taste, learn and shop  🙂
Chocolate tour is on July 21 Saturday at 1pm – 4.15pm
Tickets are $30 (plus tax) per person, which includes transportation via private bus, wine or water (children are also welcome) and all the samples you can eat.  Kids 6 and under are FREE!!!

Galleria launches Dallas Cityscape which will bring smiles who is a child or just a child at heart. The City of Dallas Landmarks will be created of toy building LEGO blocks in Galleria Shopping Center. They are going to use over 3 million blocks.
Joining this event you will have fun and help the community. Dallas Cityscape benefits east Dallas community schools a non profit organization which operates early childhood Learning centers with programs to meet the needs of children.
You will see over a dozen of Dallas Landmarks including: American Airlines Center and Victory Plaza, At&T Performing Arts District, Trammell Crow Center, Reunion Tower and Union Station, and a 15’ replica of Galleria Dallas itself!
If you cannot make it because of Chocolate tour and boat show, no worries this event will be there till September 3rd 2012
Kids under 2 are FREE!!! Ticket prices at Dallas Cityscape is $5 for adults and children age 2 and up. Children tickets come with a special prize!

What to do in Dallas this weekend?

This is another busy and fun weekend for Dallas residents. Enjoy!!!

Happy Bastille Day!

Celebrate Oak Cliff’s Reunion French Colony with the other Dallas Residents at Bishop Arts.

Hop in your cars and come straight to 408 N. Bishop Ave. at West Davis Street, Dallas because Bastille Day is being celebrated in the Bishop Arts District today. We had a blast last year. It is a
fun street fair to celebrate the French holiday with various activities. I would advise bringing cash as many of the outdoor vendors don’t have credit card access. You can hang out as long as you can stand for the heat. $10 for event glassware that includes one alcoholic drink. $5 for each refill. bastilleonbishop.com.

You will have to park in the neighborhoods and walk to the event area.  DO NOT PARK in any Business Parking Lot…as they love to tow!!!

Go Oak Cliff, Alliance Francaise of Dallas and the French American Chamber of Commerce are partnering up July 14th to celebrate the 3rd Annual Bastille on Bishop! Head out to the Bishop Arts District to take part in the festivities which will include: a Mussels Competition with top area chefs, crepe stands in the street, live accordion music, petanque demonstrations, a wine walk, vespa rally, classic French cars, French maid relays and more!

The mussles chefs will be cooking on propane burners in the street and the judges will narrow the field to a single winner after three rounds of elimination! Tres Bien!

TASTE of DALLAS at Fair Park

Well known Fair Park TASTE OF DALLAS is in town again…We enjoy this event almost every year, it is great to meet new people and learn new hip places in town.
Eat from well known restaurants, drink from frozen margaritas to sangrias… Enjoy your day at the fun event of the city of Dallas!!!

This is another street event that you will enjoy with your family. You can find many different style of food, Last year our favorite was delicious Tacos!!! Try it!!!

July 13 from 4 to 11 p.m.

July 14 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

July 15 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Fair Park, 3600 Grand Ave., Dallas, Texas.

Tickets are $8 at the gate; free admission for children 12 and under with an accompanying parent or guardian. Current and former military personnel and one guest can receive free admission with ID at the gate on July 13.

Parking at Fair Park is $12. Visitors can ride the DART Green Line to Fair Park

Yeppp… Well known Dallas Based chain 7-Eleven’s Birthday…. Today is 7 Eleven FREE 7.11 oz Slurpee Day at 7 Eleven!

7 Eleven FREE Slurpee give away is from 11 am to 7 pm at participating stores.

Since 2002 7-Eleven raised loyalty and quenched with FREE Drink campaign. According to Dallas Business Journal by Lance Murray 7-Eleven ran out of the 7.11-ounces cups and raised ire of few customers this year they have more stocked in the stores. Over all they are expecting to serve 7 million FREE Slurpees.

Tollway in Dallas Texas

The latest news is on the road constructions are from Dallas, Collin County area in Plano, McKinney and Frisco area. Dallas business journal, Matt Jones announced that The North Texas Tollway Authority is moving forward on two projects to improve traffic conditions in Collin County.

Collin County’s traffic would improve effectively after the North Texas Tollway projects in Frisco and Plano, the authority plans to start placing 300-foot steel beams to build the new Sam Rayburn Tollway-Dallas North Tollway section. Read the rest of this entry »

National Cheerleaders Association Championships in Dallas Texas

 National Cheerleaders Association Championships in Dallas this weekend which is great opportunity to see how they improved their skills, focus, strength, agility with many hours of practice. This couple minutes long performances inspire all the others who had chance to watch.

They wore ponytail ribbons and glistened under layers of silvery eye shadow and red-tinged blush.

But the iconic image of the pompom-toting pretty girl ended there, as gymnasts threw themselves into the air and teams twirled through carefully orchestrated choreography at the National Cheerleaders Association junior high and senior high school championship in Dallas this weekend.
