What to do in Dallas This Weekend? Aug. 3-5

This weekend is all about Dogs! There are many dog friendly events in Dallas that you can join with your furry friends. If you do not have a furry friend, you can still join to support these wonderful rescue groups.
There is a famous Project Pugway fashion show at the DFW Airport Hotel, 4440 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. This event is for the benefit of Pug Rescue. Great event include a bake sale, silent auction, photo booth, candy bar, vendors and more. Joining this event you will have lots of fun while supporting the community.

You will see the stylish pugs with the outfits from categories of spring, summer, fall, winter and, new this year homemade category.

Admissions are $8 online and $10 at the door, FREE for Dogs.

There are also other dog friendly events in Dallas. Dog City Training Center’s Mutt Matters series is continuing from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. The BYOB happy hours (two-legged only) take place on the first Friday of the month and have a theme this month: free shaping). This event benefits to All Border Collie Rescue.

Another FREE event that you can enjoy…Uptown Village at Cedar Hill’s Jam to Give series will present saxophonist Joseph Vincelli at 7 p.m. Friday. Address for this great event FM1382 and U.S. Highway 67.

Many dogs are looking for a new companion…Garland Pawsibilities will be doing adoptions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Firehouse #2, 3136 S. Shiloh Road in Garland. garlandpaws.org.

This one is for Wine lovers & Pooch Lovers….Enjoy wine, food and live music Sunday during this year’s Harvest Fiesta at pooch-friendly Lost Oak Winery. The festivities start at 6 p.m. and last “till we all go home.” 2116 FM731 in Burleson. Free admission. lostoakwinery.com.
