The biggest festival Big and Bright the State Fair of Texas is proudly Opening their doors in Dallas again and the BigTex is celebrating the 60th Birthday this year. Join the Party!!!

Fifty Dollar Dynasty from San Antonio is another band that you can enjoy on the stage at State Fair September 29th 5.45pm and 7.30pm

Kevin Costner and Modern West will be on stage on September 29th 8.30pm. Enjoy the nice melodies under the starts on nice cool Saturday night.

The Clay Wilson Band will be on Chevrolet Main Stage on September 30th Sunday at 1.30pm and 3pm

Another great festival is Greek Food Festival of Dallas. This celebration of Dallas is 56years old. You will enjoy the best Greek Food in Dallas at this festival from Spanakopita to Gyro. There will be traditional music, dancing, cooking demonstrations, face painting, arts and crafts, a marketplace where you can purchase art as well as more tasty treats to take home.

Last weekend we had Tomato Battle in Dallas this weekend we have a RACE!!!

Hello to Soapbox Race in DFW on September 15th, 2012. This is Red Bulls first event in DFW. Red Bull Soap Box race is a national race for amateur drivers. It is a race of course they need speed but creativity, and competitive fun is extra points that you will get.

You will see many outrages vehicles racing at west of Dallas North Tollway. Race pit opens at 11am. First race is at 1pm. You will see the winner crowned at 5pm.

Ohhh I forgot to mention..The vehicles are human powered and racing down the hill against the clock!

Teamsare chosen by information they provided on the RED BULL application, and committee picks 40 teams base on the craft creativity, technical feasibility, safety and regulations guidelines so bring your imagination here in Dallas this weekend to see this amazing Race and Shows…

The good part is here…This exciting Race event in Dallas is FREE…

Where is Red Bull Soapbox event in Dallas? It is going to be in well-known Austin Ranch community on Windhaven Parkway, The Colony, TX. Good news from RISMEDIA on April 29, 2011 that announced, March saw another increase in pending home sales, with contract activity rising unevenly in six of the past nine months, according to the National Association of Realtors®. The Pending Home Sales Index, a forward-looking indicator based on contract signings, rose 5.1 percent to 94.1 in March from a downwardly revised 89.5 in February. The index is 11.4 percent below 106.2 in March 2010; however, activity was at elevated levels in March and April of 2010 to meet the contract deadline for the home buyer tax credit.

Big companies started to see the bright future of Dallas area and bringing their headquarters close to Dallas area which reminds me the saying of I am not from Texas but I came here as soon as possible of course more job opportunities improve the economy of the area as well as the quality of living for Dallas area residents.

So let’s look at the numbers for Texas and DFW area.

  • 48% of all job growth in the nation last year was in Texas.
