So let’s look at the numbers for Texas and DFW area.

  • 48% of all job growth in the nation last year was in Texas.

 Dallas residential real estate looks steady when you look at the MLS data as of October by monthly indicator from the Collin County Association of Realtors. The percentage of original list price received at sale is same as 2009. When look at two years there is slightly difference around 0.4% however the average sales price is higher 5.6% than 2009.

 According to Dallas Business Journal, Commercial foreclosure listings in Dallas-Fort Worth reached a 19-year high in the first 11 months of 2010, according to a report released by the Addison-based Foreclosure Listing Service. Foreclosure listings on D-FW commercial properties increased 39 percent in the first 11 months compared with the same period in 2009. DALLAS (Hammond Jones Development) – Two North Texas universities will receive new student housing by fall 2011, courtesy of Hammond Jones Development LLC.

The first project will serve students attending the University of North Texas in Denton and will consist of 76 units and 272 beds.

The second development will serve students of the University of Texas at Arlington and consists of 72 units and 232 beds with additional mixed-use retail areas.

According to Texas Real Estate Center Just over 21,717 existing single-family homes were sold in Texas last month, roughly the same as a year ago, according to MLS data compiled by the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University.

The median price was down 1 percent to $153,300 during the same period, and the state finished the month with a 7.8-month inventory of existing homes.

Seems like existing Home Sales Unchanged in Texas Areas from last year however Dallas, Fort Worth and Collin County had very little changes.

When you look at Dallas homes 4,554 existing properties sold last month and Dallas sales have reduced 3 percent from last year.
